What a year it’s been for our restaurant in Malta, ION Harbour. The pinnacle of their journey has undoubtedly been becoming the first restaurant in Malta to receive two Michelin stars – an achievement they dreamed of but never expected to happen so soon after opening. This recognition has driven them to reach even greater heights, with their team’s dedication earning them additional accolades, including being named one of the Best Restaurants in Malta in The Definitively Good Guide to Restaurants, ranked in La LISTE’s top 1,000 restaurants worldwide, and awarded Three Forks, the highest honour from Forbes Travel Guide.
None of this would have been possible without the exceptional team at ION Harbour, who wholeheartedly embrace Simon Rogan’s farm-to-table ethos – an approach that was born in the Lake District and transported thousands of miles to the beautiful Maltese capital. Their tireless efforts, from foraging with head of sustainability Keith Abela to learning about the Maltese ecosystem, have been central to their success. The ongoing support of the incredible team at Iniala Harbour House, who warmly welcome every guest, has also been instrumental.
ION Harbour, along with the entire Iniala Group, extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. As they look ahead to another year of growth, innovation, and sustainability, they remain committed to creating exceptional experiences for all. Stay tuned for the exciting developments ahead, and thank you for your continued support. Wishing you all a prosperous and joyful New Year, from all of us at Iniala Group.
